Just a quick note to say that the Halloween story will be appearing as soon as I've finished it. HOPEFULLY that will be tonight, but it might be tomorrow, and appear on Halloween itself. I have to say, it feels good to be writing about Tanith once again, even if she IS ever so slightly evil...

I don't know, BB, I understand where concerned parents are coming from with this petition. The lyrics aren't exactly vague about the message that Frankie is conveying.
It is a form of art, Fly, a freaking form of art. People can express themselves in different ways. If someone doesn't conform to another's way of doing things, they will be labelled as different. That's what I hate about this world.

I love Frankie and the rest of MCR, and the fact remains that they are huge role models to thousands of people everywhere of every age. If Frankie is expressing his feelings, I think he needs to take a note from the quote you provided and write a song not ending in taking a 45 and killing everyone who bullied him.
That quote is completely right that everyone can talk to counselors or teachers with complete confidentiality. Unloading magazines into your problems is not how to solve them. It will ruin the rest of your life.
I still love Frankie, but I still think that if he wants to write a song about this sort of topic, it should be about how to find a peaceful solution instead of the proposed one.

I'm Chinese, too, and I know where you're coming from with this. If you're being discriminated of being racially different, then your basic rights as a human being are being denied. You can make this very serious, and depending on the situation, you are allowed to. Maybe you can tell me about what's specifically happening, if you're comfortable talking about it.

If it's still happening in school, I have a sad feeling that nearly strangling one of your bullies may only have made their view of you worse. You don't have to care what they think of you, but you're also giving an image that Asians, especially Chinese, are violent and will hurt them.
I really urge that you don't resort to violence.

hi! no one's here, but I just wanted to comment on the earlier convo because LEGO LIKES TO TALK ABOUT SERIOUS BUSINESS.
okay, so a lot of things in this world suck. A lot of things make me want to cry, to rip out to guts of the offending person and pummel it with an overly sharp toothpick until it disenigrates into a thousand pieces. BUT, there are two things that, in my oh so humble opinion suck more than anything else. Like, their hearts pump suck and horribleness.
1. causing someone to die
2. -phobias and -isims (and I don't mean like Anatidaephobia, the fear of ducks, I mean like homophobia/transphobia/fatphobia/ and ableisim/racism/neurelitism/classisim/sexisim)
so yeah, death majorly, majorly sucks. But phobias and isims are, imo, the worst things that humanity has to offer. They are responsible for making life horrible half the time, and ugh...i just hate the fact that they exist so, so much.
This little part of the internet is pretty good for avoiding that icky stuff. By which I mean that certain people DO express racism and homo/transphobia and such, but they get called out on it. And if no one does, it's always quite supported to do so yourself (something I don't really shy from).
so yeah, a lot of things suck. but this place is awesome and wonderful in avoiding that crap. *huggies*
